8 Unknown Facts

Okay I've been tagged by Tashina Horn to tell you 8 unknown facts about myself... haha, here goes:

1. I have birthmark just to the right of my belly button, and if you put your finger over just one part of it, it looks like a heart. My mom used to call me her little care bear.

2. I like to take pictures of the sky. Sometimes I just think it's one of the most magnificent things ever. People (Jared and my parents) often get mad when they get a roll of film developed and I have taken more than one shot of the sky.

3. I tell everyone that I don't want kids, but secretly I want like six. haha, I don't know why I tell them I don't want any, I really do!

4. I LOVE LOVE LOVE looking through old photographs. I especially love the ones of Jared's mom, it helps me feel like I know her a little better.

5. This is wierd.... It drives me absolutely INSANE when I'm in the shower and I realize that the shampoo is almost out but there is still a half a bottle of conditioner. WHY DON'T THEY MAKE THE SHAMPOO BOTTLE BIGGER, OR THE CONDITIONER BOTTLE SMALLER?!?! (I don't like to throw away half a bottle of conditioner, but I always change brands, so I usually end up with five or six different bottles of conditioner.)

6. I drink a lot of water, but only bottled watter! I'm super spoiled. I refuse to drink from the tap. Our water is hard, tastes gross, stinks, and leaves water spots. I refuse. But I drink bottled water like a camel. I drink 5 or 6 bottles a day.

7. I'm deathly afraid of hospitals, funerals, and planes. Hospitals stink so bad it makes me want to throw up. People are sick and dying there. I think it's safe to say I'm allergic to hospitals. I don't like funerals, I don't understand them. I don't even want my own when I die. And planes... we'll I don't need to explain that one.

8. This one is probably the most serious- I secretly worry and have panic attacks that I wont be able to save the world. That I can't bring so-and-so back to church, or that I wont be able to feed all of the starving children on the planet, or that I have to pant 45 trees to give back all of the oxygen that I have used. I really do worry about all of these crazy things on a daily basis. I guess that's what God is for. =)

Life with a rental

So, I'm only going to be able to give a little update today, as I'm in a hurry.

Jared and I are still working out the details with the Insurance company about my accident, so while we wait for them to take care of everything we have a rental car. The Honda's alternator went out, so now it won't even start, and the Caddy of course has been in the garage for a few months. So right now, we are working with G-ma's car and the rental which isn't terrible, but I can't wait until we are back to normal. I found the pictures of the accident (Of course, like a dork I only took pictures of my car) :

Right now we're driving a pretty new Nissan Sentra, which is really nice, I'm considering getting a car like that. Although, in a few months, when business picks up, we'll be buying a new Honda CR-V, I love that car!

Let's see, what else...

My grandpa isn't doing very well right now, and my parents and Matt will be going out to California to see him. I'm trying to make it work so that Jared and I can go too, we won't be leaving until the middle of June, so I still have time.

Jared is looking at getting a new job with Verizon Wireless. It would be a great job, especially beter than the one he has now. I'm getting excited, I'm looking forward to a change for him. My business is doing well, mom and I are working hard and trying to get our business built up again. It's a lot of fun, and things are starting to progress, we are begining to see the fruits of our labors. =)

We bought the Kitty's a new toy, it's a hideaway nylon box. It has strings hanging in the inside for them to play with, and the floor of it has a piece of tissue paper in the bottom between the two fabrics to make noise. For the longest time I couldn't figure out why either of the cats wouldn't go in it, and it really started to bother me! Jared reminded me of a story that explained it: When Kanye was a little kitty, he was playing with a plastic grocery bag, and he somehow got his head looped through one of the handles. He coudln't get it off, so he started running around the room, with it like a parachute on his neck (thank goodness we were there to help, but it was hilarious) ... but the sound of a plastic grocery bag ever since then has always bothered him. So that is why he wouldn't get in the box, the tissue paper sounds like a grocery bag. I put a blanket in the bottom, so he can't hear the tissue, and now I can't get him out.

Matt finally got his drivers license this week. He was so nervous to take the drivers test, but he did great!

It was really funny because my dad kept saying, stop taking pictures! lol And yet, my mom and I knew these would be pictures he could smile at in years to come. And when his kids are license age he can pull these out.

My garden has bloomed a little bit more, I'm really enjoying having a yard that I can plant flowers in. I'll leave you with a few pictures of those, and then I will see you again soon.... Have a great week!

Last 3 weeks...

Hello Again! Days pass by, between entries... I know I should be better. However, I do have some good stuff for you today. Wait until you see what has been going on these last three weeks...

First of all, I got into a car accident. Yep, that's right, I got rear-ended by a dump truck. Oh yeah. I was okay, thankfully. But the Honda didn't make it. I have pictures around here somewhere. The whole back end was smashed up really bad, and the insurance company just decided to total it. It was sad to let Mr. Putters go. --- It was such a good car, it was 16 years old, and the only thing that was broken was the knob for the AC... That's pretty good if you ask me. I guess now we are going to be getting another Honda since they seem to be great. I'm looking at the CR-V... they are great to take clients around in, but we will see.

My mom and I are are finally working together!! After a year of working a part, she finally came and joined me at Keller Williams Realty. YAY!!! We are working out the kinks now, and trying to figure out how to merge our businesses. This is going to be a good first year, our goal GCI is $1 Million. Pray for us!

Here's for the really good stuff...

Jared and I went with Grandma and Tyler to French Lick, Indiana. It was so much fun! We gambled, ate ice cream, spent one day drinving around in no-wheres-ville, Indaiana, and so much else! Grandma was the only one who came out on top, the rest of us all lost our money... Boo! This is a sideways picture of G-ma counting her money... she turned $5 into $85 in just a few minutes! That's what we call a great gambler.

How about a little history on French Lick, Indiana. While we were there we were told that in the early 1900's people used to come to French Lick to bathe in the Living Water. They believe that the water there would heal. People would come to bathe in the Wishing Well, and they believed that they would be healed from any infirmity that they had. People still believe in the healing powers. (But boy does the well water stink!!!!) This is a picture of the well...

Jared at the well! While we were there, we could barely breathe because it smelled so bad. lol We thought that this would be a good opportunity for a picture... hey and we got the stinky well in the background! We had so much fun on this trip. We aren't big gamblers but we sure did enjoy ourselves.

This is the last picture of the trip, it's of the beautiful garden, it was a water garden. It truly was beautiful and calming. It was such a great three day vacation.

I also in the last few weeks, have made a lot of adjustments to the house. This is the most exciting to me since our home is one of the most important places. We have painted the kitchen a dark chocolate brown, which looks good since the rest of the house is a light blue... it looks really crisp and clean. Since the kitchen and living room bleed together with only a half wall seperarating them, the blue and brown looks really good.

See? Doesn't it look nice?? Jared and I like it! =)

I've only made one other small adjustment to the house, and that's in the front yard. Jared found these wonderful rocks, so we used them to line the flower bed. We think they look nice, especially when all of the flowers are blooming.

The rocks, that line the flower bed, he pulled out of a big construction area with my dad. They got all dirty for my garden! (And the firewood they were getting... )

This is pretty much all I have for today.... But I hopefully will have more information as the days go on. I'll keep you updated on the car situation, and on how working with my mom will be. I'm sure it will be another fun post, the next time I get online. We will see! Have a wonderful day!

Time flies when you're having fun!

In the last few weeks, Jared & I have had a lot of fun. First of all, the Colts won the Superbowl!!! :) GO COLTS! We had a Superbowl Party, which was fun. Food, friends & family are all you need for a good party. Spencer built us a platform for one of the couches so we had awesome stadium seating, which was really cool.

This is a picture of my parents and Spencer in the kitchen with the food. My dad made a lot of food, and Spencer brought some over too. Don't worry, just to the left behind my dad is a little mini-drop down T.V. that they could still watch the game on.
This picture is of the boys in front of the big screen. Spencer, Matt, Dad, and Jared all had their assigned spots. All of the lights were off, and curtains closed, because I was told you can't watch the Superbowl with a glare on the screen! :) It was a fun night, and a great game.

A few other things have happened in the few weeks. My sister had to have her appendix out, and even though I do have pictures, Ashley made me promise I wouldn't post them. :) She looked pretty bad. It only took her about a week to start getting back to normal which was good, and now she's forgotten all about it. Although, I hope I never have to do that. ICK!

I had my 21st birthday on February 20th. We didn't go out on my Birthday, we celebrated with my family, which was a lot of fun too. My mom took Ash and I out to lunch at Don Pablos (Donny P's!) and then we went to the mall and got make-overs.... we were gorgeous! Then we had fun sneaking into the movie theatre to take pictures of me in the movie seats. (My mom wanted pictures of us doing what we love) And then best of all, we took ashley to Williams Sonoma and took pictures of her with a whole bunch of cooking gear. It was a blast. That Friday night, Jared and I went out with some friends (Spencer, Robin, Abby, and Emily) to dinner, Jillians, and Howl at the Moon. We ate at Hard Rock Cafe where I got a virgin Strawberry Daiquiri and I snapped this picture of Spencer after he had a sip...

He looks cute with Whipped Cream on his face doesn't he??? lol

After we went to Hard Rock Cafe, we headed over to Jillians to play some games. Abby and I found this game where you drop a coin in, and if it pushes more coins off of the edge, you get a bunch of tickets. Like the slot machines for kids. haha, Here's a shot of us playing the game. I swear we stood there forever.

We were so into it, we didn't even see the picture being taken. :)

Upstairs from the arcade is a small club, but since we were the only six people there (It isn't a popular place) Emily decided to have some fun...

Yes, that's a $20 I'm waving at her! :) We had such a good time. Abby took a picture with "The Shocker" which is certainly a good game for her. You have no idea how truly fitting the name of that game really is for her.

And then Emily decided to join a gang...

She's a Biker Babe! lol You have to admit, she looks pretty hot on that bike! What is it, a Harley? hmmmm.... One last picture at Jillians:

These are the girls! From Left to Right: Robin, Abby, Me, and Emily. Jared and Spencer didn't want to be anywhere near us because we were acting crazy. Go figure. It was okay though, we had fun.

After we went to Jillians, we went to Howl at the Moon. "The most fun you can have with your clothes on!" :) We enjoyed watching the World's Most Famous Rock n' Roll Dueling Piano Show. Oh, and all of the drunk people who were dancing on the stage. Who knew drunks could be suck fun!? lol It sure was interesting. Over all, we had a wonderful night. We had such a wonderful night, and enjoyed spending time with friends. Lets see, has anything else big happened since the last post... hmmm, I don't think so. Hello Again

Shame on me for letting it go so long. I know it's been a terrible wait! I have a few new updates, but nothing too terribly exciting. I do have a picture of the house however. :) I know I have been promising it for weeks!

There you go! This is just before Halloween, so our Pumpkins are sitting on the front step. I put up those cornstalks on the posts, which really gave our house that lived in feeling for the fall.

I will have more pictures tomorrow, I started decorating for Christmas (I know it's early) but it looks good, and I'm really excited. :)

Another Day...

Hello Again!

Sorry it has been so long, We;ve been so busy with moving into the house, and school and work. Yep! We finally moved in! The house is beautiful. We moved in on September 28th, the day we closed. It was so exciting. I don't have any pictures of it yet, but I promise to get out in the yard today and take one and get it posted. It's been a lot of work getting the house the way we want it, and we still have a long way to go. Thankfully, Jared's grandma decided to give us an hours notice one morning a few days after we moved in, that she was bringing the entire family over. :) We unpacked rather quickly. The boxes are almost gone, the only ones really left to unpack are the ones that hold all of Jared's Shoes. But he's been living fine without them for almost three weeks, so maybe I can convince him to donate them. :) We shall See!

Lets see, what else is going on.... hmmmm. Oh, I'm about to switch ocmpanies. I'm not sure yet which company I will be going to, but I have a few meetings set up with some local offices. This will hopefully be a very good change.

Jared is doing well in school, and he is looking for a new job now also. He wants to be in sports broadcasting, which pretty much anything having to do with sports, except being a player. lol He hasn't found anything that is right just yet, but he will.

This is the Washignton D.C. trip. The last two blogs have been about the California trip, and the house, so this one will be dedicated solely to Washington D.C.!

This is the Washington D.C. Temple. Can you tell what is different about this temple? There are no Windows! Actually, this is a secret about the Washington D.C. Temple, there are no glass windows, but there are sheets of transparent marble on the Temple. So you can actually see out, through the marble, but not in! That's why this temple seems so different, there are no visible windows. Neat! Jared and I try to visit all of the temples when we go to a new place.

While we were in the Washington D.C. Area, we went to a lot of different museums. Jared and I

went to visit the National Museum of Modern Art, which I thought was fabulous. This was a floor inside the NMMA, and I thought it was neat enough to take a photo of. Can you guess what medium it is made from? Tape! It's a buncho of different tapes! I might do this to my kitchen floor if Jared will let me. ;) haha.

Jared and I were visiting the World War Two Memorial, and we had to find our Indiana flag! Jared and I can never take a picture together, because one of us has to hold the camera, so we take two seperate photos, so that we can prove that I am on vacation too. :) This trip was a blast! It was VERY hot in Washington D.C., so I got really sweaty, because all of the monuments are so far apart, but we took a trolly around the city which made the trip around the city a lot easier!

This is my Bommie and Papa! I had to add their picture next, because I knew you would scroll down to see if Jared and my papa looked similar. :) Yep, they do!

We had a little BBQ on the beach with all of the family, and it was a lot of fun.

These are some of my cousin Jeff & his wife Carla's children. They are so adorable! From left to right, Madison (Maddy), Makaliegh, and Mavrick (Mav). We buried them all in the sand, and it was so fun. Those kids are so wonderful. And so Loveable!

This is just a pictue with me and two of them. I love the beach, it's so nice to go and play in the sand! :)

While we were in San Diego, we took a boat trip around the bay. I think I posted a photo of us getting on the boat in my first blog. It was a lot of fun, and very relaxing. It was so beautiful, these pictures don't even show it. The water looked good
enough to swim in!

UPDATE!
So, before I get on to our trip to Washington D.C., I want to show you some pictures of our house! It has gone up so fast! This is a few Sunday's ago, so the house has significantly changed since then. But this was the day that we put the Sold sticker on the sign. It was sold long before, but we had just gotten the sticker. Now, we have siding, kitchen and bathroom floors, cabinets in the Kitchen and Bathrooms, the inside has been painted, the driveway has been poured, and they've started locking the front door! I'll try and take another picture soon, although I may just wait until the day we close since It's so soon. We close on the 28th, at 3pm!! We're both so excited, we can't wait!

So now we can talk about the Washington D.C. trip. It was a lot of fun! I have quite a few pictures of monuments, but I guess that's what D.C. is all about!

I'm Back... and with Pictures!

Hello again! Since last time I didn't have very many pictures, I am going to overload you today. But I think that photo's make this thing more interesting. Since I have pictures of our trips, that's probably what I'll be talking about today. :)

This is a Picture of the L.A. Temple. It's absolutely beautiful. We couldn't get inside the gate to walk around the grounds because it was closed due to maintenance, but it's even beautiful from outside the gate.

So, this is what a Flammingo Paradise looks like! While we were in California, we visited Sea World. This was our first day in California, and was one of the most fun. I loved the flammingo's!

This is one of my favorite pictures of Jared. My mom thinks this picture is scary because Jared looks just like my papa! I'll post their picture too. He has the Big glasses, toothpick out of his mouth, and just that grin. :) Sea world was a lot of fun, and we had the most perfect weather. A little hot, but dry. :)




FEED THE SEA LIONS! I bet you didn't know you could do that! haha, I wouldn't touch the dead fish, so Jared Fed them. It was funny, there was this one Sea Lion who would come bark at you if he knew you had fish. But as soon as you were out, he would run to the next person and bark at them. The other Sea Lions would just stand and bark at everyone, trying to get anything that they could. But really, he was very smart, because you can't deny those little beady eyes, and the barking. None the less, he was the largest Sea Lion in the pool. :)

All about the Peyton's...

Hello! Welcome to our new Blog! We decided to blog our life, so that all of our friends and family can stay up to date and current on our lives. Maybe that's a crazy idea. Haha, just kidding, we really do want to keep everyone involved.

Jared and I were married just over a year ago on June 17th, 2005. I will probably be posting some of the photo's from the wedding, because we are bad and haven't really taken any since then. :)

This is one of the wedding party. From Left to Right: Andie, Julie, my sister Ashley, Me, Jared, his brother Tyler, Spencer, my brother Matt, and Justin. That day was a lot of fun!

Since we were married, we have taken several trips to a lot of fun places. We've taken a few smaller trips like going to Cedar Pointe (An amusement park in Sandusky, OH), and we spent a night in downtown Indianapolis, which doesn't sound like a "trip", but trust me when I say that we might as well have left the state! (We stayed in the Conrad Hotel on our anniversary, VERY fun!) We've also taken a few larger trips. In June we flew to California to visit some of my family, and had a very fun week driving up and down the coast trying to hit all of the 'touristy' spots that we could.

This is a picture of us in the San Diego Bay. We took an 'excursion' around the bay and got to see some of the fun spots in San Diego. (And it was really relaxing since we had been walking around for 4 days prior.) Jared and his family had actually taken the same boat ride when he was younger, and have a picture of them exactly like this one!

Since our trip to the sunny California, we've visited Washington D.C., and have been to North Carolina a few times. Jared had never been to Washington D.C., so it was a really enjoyable trip. I'll get some pictures downloaded as soon as possible. Jared also has an old missionary companion in North Carolina that we have gone to visit. His wife and he have been very sweet to let us come stay with them for a few days. It's a lot of fun taking trips, and we take advantage of them as often as we can!

We have also had two additions to our family since we've been married. No, they aren't children. :) Our cats (which might as well be our children) Kanye & Kaliegh. I'll get some photos of them uploaded as soon as I can.

We are in the process of building a house, but I'll let you know more about that in the next blog. I really want to have some pictures to show you before I give you all of that exciting news.
